
Capital Avionics, Inc., has been a strong proponent of education, beginning its contributions to the industry in 1998. These include:
- 70+ Tech Time articles published in the industry’s trade publication Avionics News.
- Assisting the Florida Community College of Jacksonville (FCCJ) in the consolidation of their basic electronics courses for inclusion into their new Avionics Program of Study.
- Being selected with the Boeing Company and Florida Aviation Aerospace Alliance to review the Florida Department of Education’s existing aviation academic resources, secondary and post-secondary frameworks, private and public university degrees and other institution programs/ideas and to review the industry’s workforce education and training needs (Florida Aviation/Aerospace Career Cluster Consortium Project).
- In cooperation with Honeywell International, teaching KAP 140 autopilot flightline maintenance at the AEA Regional conventions in 2004.
- Assisting the Small Airplane Directorate with creating the Electrical Load Analysis draft in cooperation with the ASTM Committee F39 on Normal and Utility Category Airplane Electrical Wiring Systems.
- Teaching the subject of Aviation Serial Busses at the AEA Regional conventions in 2008.
- Teaching the subject of Autopilot Theory and Operation at the AEA Regional conventions in 2009.
